Carolyn,

Its amazing what a full re format will get rid of on a problematic hard drive.
<g>

I spent 14 hours yesterday trying to uninstall Norton so that I could install the new router and network all four of the PCs and laptops together in my home office yesterday.

Norton took the entire network down once I completed the network installation and installed and tested the router connection on all four units. All were working fine until Norton was introduced.

This morning it took me to two hours to re format this desktop in order to dump Norton and that fixed the problem.

Lesson to be learned:

Networks don't like SP2 patch.
Networks don't like Norton.

Ps: Fix time involved involving both issues total 27.3 man hours. The good news is that I was able to save all data and am fully restored.
