Did you see the WSJ article today about consumer prints from digital cameras? It was their page 1 lead. Bode really poorly for HPQ. Bottom line was that HP will quickly face increasingly stiff competition from big-box retail and e-commerce for prints from consumer digicams, threatening their high-margin ink consumables business. Just because it's easier than DIY prints. As went Kodak, so goeth HPQ. I think Epson and Lexmark will be threatened too, but Epson has more of the high-end photographer's market.

Charles,

It's looking more and more like HP is toast.

While Itanium failure would be a big setback for HP, HP is not toast without it. HP has the strongest x86 server business of all server vendors.
