You are confusing public office holders with what I was talking about, which is members of the Bush team. Bush is the public office holder, not his team.

Most national security advisers, members of the diplomatic corp, etc. have advanced degrees, and many of them were professors before serving their president. I would expect a lot of advanced degrees among senior staff.
