Bill, nice to hear ya, man. I hope you and yours are well.

[I have never seen Moyers more scathing in a report.]

Wow, glad I caught that one then. I don't watch much (get enuff of a news fix during the day and would get too pissed off if I watched more). But, PBS programs are by far the best of the bunch [besides B. Moyer, G. Ifill is another who seems to do a decent job and have a good head on her shoulders, and there is another guy who is similar to Moyer in manner (calm, bland, genial, etc.) but his name escapes me right now].

Truthfully, I couldn't believe my ears at first (so I reached for the remote to press up the vol). PBS programs are usually the most "honest" (if there's such a thing) on the tube (the antithesis of the Fox Moron News Network). I was expecting there to be, in turn, some kind of defense of Rice, et al. I kept expecting (it), but it never reared its ugly head. <-s>

I came away thinking that some threat warning light had gone off somewhere [was it as basic as the re-election of Shrub a couple of weeks ago or has Moyer been moving away from the center or middle prior to his piece on Rice?] and Moyer (in his calm, deadpan, genial manner) had decided that people needed to have things spelled out for them so we would "start to get it"; the unequivocal truth that buffoons are running the country and are promoting their personal stooges to extremely powerful posts.

The "lying & corruption" though, won't go away in our lifetime. No one would "serve the public" if they couldn't also serve themselves and their friends. Term limits are sorely needed for the congressfolk imo. Two max for a lifetime. Down with warlords everywhere.
