Yeah, the boys from PNAC missed a good bet by not sacrificing Bush on 9/11. Not only would it have put their boy Cheney in the top spot, it would have made the rest of the story a lot more believable. Not that Cheney doesn't pull most of the strings anyhow, but it must get old after awhile baby sitting Dubya to keep him from saying something stupid. It certainly would have been easier to explain a great deal of chaos resulting from the demise of the President than it has been to group the endless list of stand down examples as "intelligence failures".

Most of it would still look fishy, but they could have made quite the hero out of little George by claiming he was on top of everything, and could have saved the day if only he had lived

By the same argument, that he could and should have known where W was, Osama didn't do 9-11 either.
Searle,by your argument,Osama was not responsible for the tapes.
