What is interesting is that Captain Jack never mentions anything about the race of the people who are making rap music. I happen to disagree with Captain Jack on the artistic merit of rap (and I am a 41 yo white guy), but there was nothing bigoted in his response. Just his opinion. However, by the poster assuming that all rap is made by blacks, he has proven that he is the bigot, as well as the threadhead who agreed with him. Other white rappers include the Beastie Boys (who have been around since 1981), Blondie with "Rapture", Eminem and even more mainstream contemporary "rock" bands such as Linkin Park have rap as a key component to their music. And let's not forget that there are latino rappers such as Cypress Hill. So by assuming that Captain Jack was giving a racially oriented opinion, the bigot critics have proven themselves to be bigots. I can't post on that thread where this commentary belongs....oh well. Maybe someone could cut and paste their own content from that thread with this commentary so that they can be made an example for themselves.

LPS5-- I never really gave a damn about being politically correct. I find usually it is the weak and stupid that worry about such drivel. Anyone fool calling me a bigot certainly has to be one. I mentioned 'rap'. No person or group. Have those on the other thread noticed there are 'rappers' of all colors? It takes no talent to 'rap'. No voice is required-- jump up in oversize clothes, scream something stupid, & grab your crotch-- you are a star! No one on this thread thought of me as a bigot as they no better. Tell those clowns I'm a 56 year old RETIRED person, old enough to know if being P C means being associated with people like them, I'm even more happy to be Politically INcorrect.
