bg,

Ok. I'm bullish short term, medium term, and long term on gold. The fact that so many have turned bearish on gold the past few days/weeks, makes me even more bullish.

And, I do not expect any kind of significant dollar rally. Any and all rallies will be short-lived.

<I think the general market will pull the miners down with them regardless of what the spot gold is going to do ...>

Hi, BG. Now why would you think that? If gold went up to $500, do you think people holding gold mining stocks would sell because of a general market collapse?Don't you think that it would give people even more reason to hang on to their mining shares? This is the argument Van Eeden made yesterday which I tend to agree with.

The fact is, most people who hold gold stocks in this climate expect some sort of general market collapse. Our reasons for investing in gold would be validated and the whole sector especially the junior miners will be in the money.
I think that generally, there is a difference in mindset between a general market investor and a goldbug. (JMO)

Also, I am bullish on junior gold stocks ST. Their participation during this recent run-up is spotty at best and their valuations are the best in the sector.
