Well said, Ten. Americans forget that America with all its flaws is still better than any other country on the planet. That means we have to love the country first in order to understand what to do to fix it. If you develop a deep disdain for the country, then you'll never be able to figure out how to fix it. Same thing goes for your children. As long as you love them, you can help them grow. If you stop loving them, then you are no longer good for them.

Ted, there's a big difference between introspection and "Blame America First."

Those who are introspective, for instance, don't compare the acts of America with the acts of Scott Peterson. Not even the Bush-haters in Redwood City would go that far.

Who the hell is talking about introspection? How could you get that out of my post? Never mind.
