Hey, Booters! Long time, no cha cha.

I have been well to middlin, as I believe Tom Bomdadil always said.

"WHY IS POPULAR WRONG????"

I don't think "wrongness" is the critical issue. I would rather ask what is dangerous or hurtful. These are objective evaluations rather than abstract judgment. For instance, beheading has become rather popular as of late. I would not say it is wrong for being popular...but it surely ranks with the lowest acts of human beings, regardless of that.

I would hope I never judge the rightness or wrongness of an act or a social movement by the popularity it enjoys. Please correct me if I do, Booters. Good to hear you again!

That was sort of coincidental! I was watching an old issue of PALLADIN where gunmen are trying to prevent a Teacher from telling the truth on all sides (in the civil war). Palladin makes the perceptive remark that without teachers we would always need to keep re-inventing fire and the wheel. I think this is what I have been saying.
