Yeah, tell us how Israel "raised the stakes" by daring to exist and not permit itself to be destroyed in six wars. The mullahs will love you for it.

What is it about the modern Left that reliably sides with theocratic fascist states against democracies?

If Hashemi-Rafsanjani is prepared to use an atomic bomb on Israel, do you think this moslem terrorist would also be willing to supply a bomb to Osama Bin Laden?

I believe a joint Israeli-US attack would be best. In addition to Israeli submarines, the US could arrange for Israeli aircraft to deploy out of American bases in Iraq.
A Joint US-Israeli land, carrier and submarine based attack with cruise missiles and smart bombs could take out the nuclear reactor, clandestine nuclear WMD facilities, Iranian military bases and the leadership of this rogue nation. The political vacuum could then be filled with pro American leadership. Without this intervention, it is only a matter of time before Iran attacks Israel and supplies Al Queda with a nuclear WMD to attack America on US soil. You are either with America and Israel or with the terrorists. Which is it?

Actually, I think the Iranian VP said a couple of weeks ago that (and I paraphrase) "US is sinking in a quicksand of its own making. We are willing to throw them a life line and save them, if they moderate their positions". This was perhaps the most important statement of in Iran-US relations over the past 20 years.
