I live in Phoenix. There must be a bell curve for the performance of the Prius vs temperature. Someone told me that the mileage goes down in very cold temperature (which I will never see), but I know it goes down in very hot climate. I was getting about 35 mpg this summer (over 100 F) and now its gone up to 42 mpg (70 F). Evidently its sensitive to gasoline quality too since we got one tank of gas that we got 46-47 mpg, but unfortunately cant remember where we filled up <g. M
