Chucky (any relationship to the infamous doll?), Dan did not see a relationship between trade and imperialism (trace back the discussion). I showed two examples, Japan and Philippines, in which US relations started over trade and at gun point. So I have proven my point. As for your comments on "un-American", if you don't like what you see in the mirror, change yourself; breaking the mirror will do you no good. BTW, since I am taking the anti-imperialist position (which I am proud was shared by Mark Twain and many of real Americans), and you are calling it "un-American", then I guess you believe America is about pillaging the world at gun point and killing anyone who stands on your way. Chucky - please tone it down here, and play nicely. From one American to another :-) I don't think your personal attack on SunTzu is called for from his post. I'd prefer if you toned it down and stayed, but the choice is yours. As others here will tell you, I have no problem with giving anyone the boot that won't play by the rules here - my rules.
