I totally agree. I'm tired of seeing classes full of little boys in special education, partly because boys act out physically when their needs aren't being met, and girls are less likely to do that. We need to do a much better job for boys in school. I think all the new thinking about how to teach girls has been wonderful- but we needed to move forward with ways to help both male and female children, and I'm not sure that's being done. At the same time I read Reviving Ophelia for my daughters, I read Raising Cain for my son- we need strategies for all children.

College is a good place to meet a spouse. I suggest Grainnaette should take many math and science classes- better pickings there. (imo, worked for me, etc)
