If things get as dark as some gold bugs think... and the net is shut down for example so channel islands cut off... how will you get your goldmoney ? Having it in your basement safe is the only sure way I know ... but it's a lot easier to make change with goldmoney I guess ...

I know also it is insured by LLoyds but is that really a guarantee after googling a bit LLoyds ?

I do not think the ETF is any better by the way..

EDIT.. what is the motivation for a Canadian that believes the Loonie is going to par with the USD for bothering with bullion at all ? I mean that's still a long way away (if it even ever gets there but that's another story).. Wouldn't be better to be sure gold was going up in Loonie terms ?

EDIT and stocks are a different animal...
