Lew Rockwell is incorrect when he says that private insurance does not cover persons older than 65. The coverage provided does coordinate with Medicare however, paying the portion Medicare does not cover.

This includes the co-payment to providers and items not covered, such as prescription drugs.

This still leaves the problem of the Medicare cap on provider payments, so the main theme of his commentary is correct.
