That's a great story! The word 'helicopter' brought to mind a dog I once knew who belonged to a helicopter pilot. The dog rode in the bubble right beneath his feet. The only time it got a little excited was when the ground started getting close. I can understand that. Strangely enough, I still remember the name of that dog, "Pinky Bill," although I knew the pilot only briefly and have no recollection whatsoever of his name. It was a long time ago too, more than 40 years.
