NHP,

Perhaps the LCD projector makes the difference. I was using an older TV set for display. Also, chunky files become problematic, especially if you need to rotate them. In any case, with a laptop LCD as the gold standard I was disappointed.

Starting to notice portable DVD players that can manage MPEG4 files, as well as stationary DVD players with both MPEG4 capability and with card slots.

When will solid state video catch on? I think it is just a matter of time.
