CB, In retail, they call those bargains "loss leaders". Albertson's has been running a campaign for some time now with items a buck each. They advertiese it as 10 for $10, but if you buy a fewer number, you still get the $1.00 unit price. Among this week's items are GE lightbulbs, in a 4 pack, and Wolfgang Puck soups. I don't know about the lightbulbs, but the soup is regularly a $2.69 per can item. I don't buy anything I otherwise wouldn't be inclined to buy, but when these sales are on, I stock up on the items I know I will use.
