Ed" A backhanded slap at the israelis for defending themselves i guess or are you suggesting that the US will be building such a wall around iraq? In any case, you know what TV and Bush are getting at with the fight them there mentality. Your logic is better but i think the jurys out on whether they are less focused when engaged with us abroad or not. It was mostly peaceful in the 90s after the cole and embassies and look what happened on 9/11. It is much harder to plan whether you are bin laden nervously waking up each morning or zarquawi figuring out what town to move to next. You probably see that in afganistan but not in iraq, but after the invasion of iraq things changed and terrorists flocked there rather than other places. I guess the case can be made that more folks became terrorists because of the iraq war. I never found that argument convincing. It just gave them a place to go and without iraq maybe bin laden/zarquawi would have given them another place. mike

I hope you can see that. intellectual bankruptcy? Terrorists are not reasonable people. Its a matter of self defense to kill terrorists before they kill more innocent Israelis and Americans. No quarter must be given. In my opinion, just as the Israelis have done, radical moslem clerics should also be targeted with prejudice as they advocate, encourage and facilitate terrorism and murder. Perhaps Bush should arrange to have Israel secretly send a special forces team to Iraq as they have experience dealing with radical moslem clerics?
