<<"Do they deliberately charge lower prices than they mean to stick with when they come into a market in order to get business?">. Not always-- sometimes as soon as local competition bows out they eaise them,, not always. A family has sold Wheelhorse & other such products since the 40s. I buy everything there. The snowblower bought today is $24 less at Lowes. At Lowes they guarantee it for 90 days although the warranty is for a year. Not a huge savings on an item over $600. HOWEVER,, my friend WILL fix it BUT it will be done after all his costomers are taken care of and will not be done on overtime. If your lawnmower or tractor goes down you may need some sheep for a week or 2. If Mine goes down for more than 48 hours he brings (or I may pick up) another. The local bike shop has the same practice as they sell the same brands of bikes as Wally World along with the higher end lines. Not to mention-- items purchased from him have l;ifetime free pu & del, if your tractor, mower, or goes down and you do not have access to a truck or trailer the minimum pu & del charge is $45.
