Since the guy the Marine shot was not actually a suicide bomber, the shooting was clearly a mistake. But a mistake does not constitute a war crime. The Marines will have to judge if the response was appropriate or trigger-happy

The papers are acting like the guy was laying there pleading for his life before the Evil Marine(tm) shot him, laughing evilly and twisting his little villain mustache.
