Did you know that when you dream about finding treasures that are hidden, some dream analysts say you are dreaming about your own hidden potential, or talents, that lie withing you, and which have not yet been fully exploited :-)

Houses are also supposed to have special significance, with different rooms representing different parts of you. Cellars and attics can represent the unconscious, the bedroom obviously has sexual connotations, kitchens are often seen as tied in with maternal issues...

I think we had a long discussion about dreams once- maybe more than once. Rambi used to have the MOST awesome dreams. I still remember her frog dream.

it was furnished, and an absolute mess - tons of stuff [on the 4th 30 yd dumpster]

old books, some real treasures [I'm a book person]

an early turn of the century Karl Marx booklet, some leather books on poetry, novels - too many to go through right now

and the real gems were the lighting and lamps - an original art deco chandelier to die for, with 4 matching wall sconces in perfect condition

then an art deco brass lamp, that [it's so unusual] looks like a lotus - brass base with leaves that rise, then 4 stems the rise about 26 inches tall, arch over and end in glass lotus flowers, with the bulb as the like stamen

the guns

then a Mayan looking statue [I named him Jerome after the deceased owner]

a carved African looking piece

unusual clay pots

and, hehehehe a perfect Georgia O'Keefe bleached bone/head of some big animal with horns [no clue what it is yet]

tons of other stuff

turns out the yard is brimming with unusual plants, trees and bushes too - one of the neighbors is trying to help me identify some of it

doing none of the cleaning or work, but I'm general'ing the entire project

I have a recurring nightmare of a house too - one that I had lived in as a young girl - it's filled with evil spirits, I can sense them, smell them, feel them - no one listens to me and I can't get out of the house

I don't even like thinking about it
