You are mistaken. I am sure people in the blue states would fight to the death to defend their homes, as I would. We are simply restrained and cautious about the use of violence in non-self defense situations. I understand that restraint in the use of force often looks like an aversion to force to those who have no restraint- but it is not an aversion to force, it is simply judiciousness (imo).
