There is lots of evil in the world. The United States does not typically intervene in every strange little dictatorship where there are sons waiting in line, even if there are human rights violations. Some people believe we have already killed more Iraqis than Saddam did. Where is the justice in that?

One hopes that there would have been a citizens' revolt or a regional solution or SOMETHING, but it is not one nation's role to police the entire planet, even if we could. We only do so when there is some natural resource we need, or some strategic interest that is compelling.

Aren't about 40,000 children still dying every day of easily treatable diseases on this planet? There are lots more positive things we could due to end human suffering than invade every brutal little fiefdom.
