LOL, I thought I bought my house at the top when I bought my house back in 2001 right after Sept 11. (and yes generally I have a track record of buying right on top - so I was convinced I did the same with my house :-) ).

I have a feeling that there will be a lot of inertia in the downward movement of home prices. Instead we might end up seeing inflation which will start eating up the inflated value of your home, savings and other properties.
