Well I said that they are boring. I suppose if you are a new investor in PMs then this is great.

Are you going?

Re: Shows.

I agree. They serve a purpose. I recall the last show someone here went to in Toronto and they talked to newsletter writers who knew nothing about CKG.

I have been to a couple of shows and I found it worthwhile to meet the principals. Many times thereafter I have been able to call them (not IR) and have candid discussions because we had made contact at the show. It has been very profitable on occaision. Occassionally after meeting an exec. at a show and exchanging contact info. I will e-mail them info. that I may feel is significant to them and they may miss. This is VERY productive and cinches a realtionship.

So....

Shows are good if you "work" them. Wandering around with a plastic bag gathering brochures, ain't what its about. Go to a show with a plan and work that plan.

P.S. And I think you're right. If they are not represented at a show they miss opportunities. They only need to talk to one person at a show that has power and you can be sure there are several of them walking around doing their homework.

Cheers

C
