NEW YORK, November 22 (newratings.com) - Analyst Robert S Peck of Bear Stearns maintains his "outperform" rating on Sirius Satellite Radio (SIRI.NAS).

In a research note published on November 19, the analyst mentions that the company recently announced that Joe Clayton would be replaced by Mel Karmazin as the company's CEO by the end of this year. Mel Karmazin's appointment would bring credibility to Sirius Satellite Radio's management, given his 35 years of experience in the radio industry and his tenure at Viacom as the COO, the analyst believes. The company is expected to benefit from Mel Karmazin's ability to negotiate major programming rights, Bear Stearns adds.
