Ever been to Switzerland? Every male age 18 or older owns a gun. How amazing that the murder rate is practically non existent.

The problem here is not the guns, it's the hoodlums who have them.

Grainne, the hunter is one with his environment. He reveres it, honors it, loves it. People who get their veggie burgers at McDonalds have no concept of this participation in life that hunters experience.

I really hope you will rethink your beliefs. In the broader scheme of things, they are unsustainable.

Entire religions, past and present, have revered animal life as they do human life.

I didn't dismiss the loss of human life. I am totally against anyone having guns (I realize this is a minority opinion in America). I think a lot of people and animals die needlessly because of guns, and this incident is a good example of that. That is what I meant by live by the gun, die by the gun.

Not to minimize gun injuries and deaths, particularly those that occurred in Wisconsin over the weekend, but...

DOCTORS:

A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.
B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.
C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health Human services and is a
conservative number.

Now think about this:

GUNS:

A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. Yes, that is 80
million.
B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.
C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.0000188.

Statistically, DOCTORS are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous
than gun owners!

Remember, "GUNS don't kill people, DOCTORS do!"

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE
HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban DOCTORS
before this gets completely out of hand.

you chimed in on a post not even directed to you with:

Live by the gun, die by the gun . . . at least there are some animals now who are not going to be murdered by those five.

if that isn't dismissing the value of human life I don't know what is

after you made that post a simple apology would have sufficed rather than defending animal rights

but I'm done talking to you about it till at least those five, now six, are laid to rest

no, I'm just plain done talking to you period
