Various states are coming out proposing funding for stem cell research.

Comptroller in Illinois proposed major funding-----of course this goes to legislature and maybe people for a vote.

Boston area also ----a proposal for Alzheimer's funding.

Over a period of time there will likely be more proposals----seems like everyone wants to get in the act.

Will it translate to increased stock prices?

Re: STEM

I heard something on the news on the car radio about some new research on Stem Cells. I'll scan the news and bet I can find the answer.

I came up with this:

Hynes proposes state-funded program to award stem cell research grants

CHICAGO State Comptroller Dan Hynes is proposing a state-funded program that would award stem cell research grants to Illinois facilities.

The Illinois Regenerative Medicine Institute would be funded by a (b) billion dollars in bond issues and would be paid back through a new six percent tax on elective cosmetic surgery.
