nothing specific at this time.. i have seen his agree with shields more than disagree on pbs. He appears more critical than supportive of adm.. i will come back next time i view or read his opinions with a specific... ok. I get the feeling he walks the line to hold his job at nytimes. Like he said one time on pbs i am not going to criticize the nytimes they are my boss.

He postures himself to communicate with the "other guys" rather than shout them down or beat them up. That's not a function of how conservative he is but how confrontational or bellicose he is, seems to me.

That's interesting.

Do you feel Shields has a confrontational or bellicose "posture"?
