I did find the China article interesting. I don't pretend to understand international economic policy very well, but I have a friend who does, and he believes that our American deficit etc. situation is so bad that other countries will soon stop buying anything that is dollar based very soon, and that this will be catastrophic re our inflation rate.

My friend is investing in gold, instead. Oh, and buying land in a remote forested area so he can lie low if need be until the Republicans are gone. In fact, I know several Democrats with similar sentiments at the moment. And on ABC news tonight, there was a segment on the religious right and how they feel that Bush owes them bigtime now. One woman was saying that she KNEW that the Lord wanted Bush to be president. It will be interesting to see how far Bush goes in placating the evangelicals.
