I really don't think JFK took the bar five times. I think it was actually three. I am not sure that disqualifies one for public office. He didn't really want to be a prosecutor, and I think that may have had something to do with his lack of focus. However, from all the accounts I have read, he was an excellent one. Could you tell me where you got your information, perhaps? I kind of doubt that JFK Jr. was your cup of tea. But I think he might have excited Democrats, and that is important for them.
