I would enjoy deer hunting if it were possible to do it without actually killing the deer. Maybe take a photo of it instead?

I have a friend here in red state land who does just that. He used to hunt with a gun, but gave it up. Just a personal choice that has nothing to do with the "morality" of hunting.

PS: My guess is Kerry's experience is with bird hunting - secondarily, BTW, to skeet shooting. If we had a tradition of fox hunts in this country, he'd probably do that instead. ;-)
