I'm not sure what your post has to do with my comment. Are you suggesting that the time hunting folks spend on self-righteous indignation is interfering with your legitimate rights?

I can see how anti-hunting activists, engaged in promoting anti-hunting laws, might be trying to change what legitimate rights ARE, with regard to hunting, but other than that, I'm not sure I see the point.

You want the right to kill animals. Other people would like to see other means employed, that don't involve killing animals. Two competing rights- one is going to call "legitimate" that side which one emotionally agrees with, unless one recognizes that they are simply to competing ideas, and whichever idea resonates with the public is the one that will be called "legitimate"- imo, of course.
