i am almost certain that article was tongue in cheek. it was far too stereo-typically anti-gold to be otherwise for what is ususally a good magazine

Yes, and that every single fiat currency ever devised has ultimately seen it's value go to zero, another point conveniently omitted. Oh well, articles like that are fuel to the gold bull....
