You evidently consider use of the term "liberal" as an insult. My question is why? From what I've gleaned on the threads, people who regard themselves as liberal wear it as a badge of honor. The rest try to swap the term "progressive" on the pretense of being more moderate and to avoid any negative implications attached to "liberal." John Kerry is a liberal. That's his record. That's his world view. I don't happen to share it. S why exactly am I a scumbag, red? Because I disagree with you? 'cause it sounds good to be insulting? Or because you are incapable of carrying on a conversation beyond a half thought or two and therefore have to devolve to your favorite game of name calling? I think #3.
