LOL, that is truly amusing, coming from a guy who thought Kerry was going cruise to the presidency.

62 million votes for George Bush. Does that make you squeal?

67% of the electorate voted- an amazing total for America, and both candidates had really amazing levels of support. Still, we lag behind France in the percentage of the electorate who vote, which is sad. Last I read something like 80% turn out to vote in France- of course their system is direct, so that probably makes a difference. In Belgium, of course, it's 95%, but it's illegal not to vote in Belgium, or so I've been told. Several countries have compulsory voting- an interesting concept.

edit- just to be safe, I checked

how fascinating!!!

This name calling thing rule raises problems for me in the cases where it's a bit borderline. You called Bill a wingnut, and I have seen this before at SI, and I'm not clear whether it's offensive or not, so I will check with Bill. But just a friendly reminder not to call people names, okay? I hate banning people.
