BJP Govt. made significant investments in infrastructure projects. I think investing in infrastructure is good for India. As the article said, Indian policy makers have seen the benefits China derived from their massive infrastructure spending in late 1990s. This and other US and Indian economic dynamics are perhaps neutral on Rupee/USD exchange rate. If anything, Bush's policies may slightly weaken USD against the Rupee for the next 2 years (worst case 1$ = 41 Rupees, bad but not earth shattering IMO).

In general - USD is sure to hit the shredder against the Euro. I am into mostly global equities in my retirement account (I believe you asked about this earlier.)

I am also long or bullish on the following:
SCO (French Reinsurer. It is turnaround play and I am loaded to the tilt on it.)
TIWI (A Canadian telecom company which has wireless phone service in Check Republic and Romania, where it is a major player. Believed to be a take over target by Vodaphone. I bought at circa 3.75 and holding on for a ride to circa 20.
WHT (Canadian gold mining company. Gold and currency play at the same time.)
Apple (I bought at 34 and sold at 55 in about 2 months. As I was awaiting a pullback to buy again, it went through the roof yesterday.)
