One would think that the qualitative rights of all Americans (male and female) had all been fixed by the 13th and 14th Amendments. Obviously, with the Tuskegee Airman fighting valiantly concomitantly with the conducting of the Tuskegee Syphilis Study and residents of Manzanar interred concurrently with the heroic exploits of the 100th Battalion and 442nd Regimental Combat Team, one can certainly question how uniformly the Constitution applies and really, how little power a piece of parchment has when people insist upon the intentional, ignorant or vapid misinterpretation of the document to undermine the enumerated rights embodied by it.
