First of all, you clearly have no idea what my "viewpoint" is on this issue. Second, I didn't raise any "wedge issues" here. Sylvester was insisting on knowing whether I thought being gay was a choice. I said it didn't matter to me and asked in response, why he thought, in the context of a discussion of legal rights, it should matter. I got no answer - at least none that made any sense. If you have an answer, please share. The constitutional/legal aspects of this issue are actually quite interesting, but the discussions rarely rise above "you're just a bunch of homophobe nazi bigots" and "you're trying to destroy traditional marriage and promote your sinful lifestyle." As for the rest of your highly presumptive rant, I have not sought to change anyone's mind about abortion. That wasn't even the subject of this discussion and you certainly don't know my views on it - you only assume you know. Why do you bring up such a "wedge issue" anyway? Are you trying to pick a fight or did you just feel a need to rant about it?
