"According to the Catalogue of Philanthropy, in 2004, the 10 states with the highest per person giving went for Bush"

They are also states where tithing is common. The stingiest states are ones where it isn't. Interesting correlation, don't you think?

Tithing isn't voluntary. There are a lot of social pressures to do it.

That source is quite biased...........they refer to Democrats ans neo-Marxists............LOL

BY the way...............Ca has had a democrat as Gov for only 3 of the last 20 years..............we had 2, 2 term GOP Gov's before that. And the state gov't was GOP dominated for some periods during that time.

IN fact..........it was under Pete Wilson that the stupid energy deregulation bill was passed into law. Wilson actually started many of the policies Davis got blamed for. Wilson's wife is now on the board of directors for the oil company that holds the patent for MTBE.
