Brian, If true, that is good news, IMO, for the semi-equips. If the chip companies continue to do well, and sales hold up, they will have money to buy cap ex.

Also, I don't know if the numbers below are right, but if so, overproduction of 1B out of 200B per year hardly seems like a problem(since about 4B a week is being sold, 1B is a little over 1 day of "overproduction" - WOW!).
