Why do you assume I support the rules changes that allow Delay to keep his leadership position if indicted and why would you assume anyone thinks he should keep his position if convicted? And while your thinking up an answer to that, try to come up with some justification for years of gerrymandering by Democrats, including instances so egregious they were finally struck down by the federal courts after years of Democrat legal teams defending them. Then see if you can justify labelling the Texas GOP legislators evil for drawing districts that favor GOP candidates, just as the Dems did before for their candidates. And when you rationalize your way though that CD exercise, see if you can find any post where I have defended gerrymandering. Finally, as for "Duncan what's his face", I assume you're talking about the House not being willing to pass all the 911 commission recommendations in spite of Senate passage and Bush's support. As I understand it, there were sufficient concerns among enough House members that they felt it better to not to rush into passage of what they clearly saw as a flawed bill. Do you think the House is supposed to be a rubber stamp for the Senate or the President? Do you really think it's the end of the world if, when talking about organizational changes that will take considerable time and expense to implement, we take a few weeks to make sure the details are right and legitimate concerns are addressed?
