Yrs ago we drove around Toronto on the QE. Judging from your description I doubt we will return.
There are American cities in much closer proximity with non-melting-pot cultures as well. At one time the closest urban area was my fav destination for holiday shopping, BUT in recent yrs those neighborhoods have become hangouts for unemployed immigrants who sit around, make noise and in other ways annoy shoppers. Last Xmas after a very unpleasant visit to that particular city, I checked it off my list of desirable destinations.
I've noticed definite signs of the disintegration of the effects of free trade and accompanying globalization forced on the world by greedy investors.

How are women treated under shria muslim law? If it doesn't measure up to western standards, why would non-muslim Canadian women tolerate such injustice in their country?

<<<Did you know that Canada is adopting shria muslim law for musloms in Canada?>>>
