Very interesting!

"The late Middle Ages are recorded as a crazy and violent period. Some historians speculate that in the cold, wet period, various microfungi exerted a compelling influence on human health and the mind."

======

We have prions (mad cow disease), all kind of manmade chemical problems such as antibiotics and who knows what else lurks around us causing all kinds of mental problems. I've even heard that toxoplasmosis, which can be transmitted to humans from infected cat droppings, could change the culture of areas when they lodge in the brain and create different patterns of thinking.

It's strange. Maybe we're not just becoming fatter from processed foods and pollution, maybe we're becoming dumber and more belligerent. Bush was an alcoholic and drug user for decades....that would explain part of the problem.
