Re: Is the USA now just a fundamentalist Christian nation?

Large groups of people have succumbed to superstition as their solace in a time of declining economic opportunity. There's lots of angry white men who can't think abstractly, and thus are forced to look toward scapegoats as the cause of their economic distress. This flaw in the educational levels and basic ability to think are continuously being exploited by clever charlatans like George Bush, Karl Rove, Billy Graham, Pat Robertson, Ralph Reed, etc.

Here's something of a horror show for you to see on the Net:

Re: Is what is going on in the Middle East just the same old war between religions after all?

Yes, among other things. But the truly sad thing is that the chumps in America are being used as a mercenary force by the folks in organizations such as JINSA, AIPAC, the Likud Party and other Greater Zionist schemers.

The war, in its essence, is between extreme Judaism and secular Islam, with the actual combatants ending up being proxies, i.e. indistinguishable fundamentalist whackos from Waco and Waziristan.
