You sound like my hero, Lt. Col. Sarah McKenzie, on JAG. That's just the kind of thing she would do. I wish you had caught the bastard. I have never experienced the heat of battle. I did have one experience when a man broke into my apartment and tried to rape me, and I took the knife away from him and chased him out of my apartment. If I had managed to stab him in the back, I don't think I would have been in any trouble. Later the police showed me that I ripped my bedroom door off one of the hinges opening it to go after him. I have no idea how I did that. People do strange things under pressure.
