OT - I don't know if Janurary will be the optimum time to sell a lot of time value. It will depend on price.

Growth in premium and activity should be a good sign that buying is underway.

There is very little open interest on the tech options I follow after Jan 05 expirations. Thus little to be gained by manipulators in trying to hold tech down. But if you look at January open interest you will see that there is a ton of money invested in the Jan 05's. If the techs can be held at current levels a lot of options will go worthless.
