TE,

Cheers.

I think it could happen as early as 2005/2006, based on a number of different events alluded to in my previous post.

There are actually two periods. One in the 1970's (I don't have the exact year) and one was Black Monday (1987) when gold rose but Newmont shares and other mining shares fell with the overall market, I think gold went up 50% and Newmont fell more than 50% in 1987 (I don't have the exact figures) so you can see how a physical bullion position would put you ahead.

My plan is to then liquidate some bullion (unless the world around me is falling apart!) and buy more miners at their lows, if that happens. If not, I'll just keep my bullion.

Anyway, all just my opinion, but it drives my investment strategy. BWTHDIK
