The veggie burger at McDonalds starts as a living being, is jerked unceremoniously from its environment, slaughtered, processed, frozen, cooked, and eaten with out so much as a howdy-do.

The buck deer starts his day, like any other day, with a chance to live, test himself against other bucks, enjoy his does, feed, sleep, and escape from the hunter if he can.

Do you see the difference?
